تسببت مياه الامطار التي شهدتها العاصمة زنجبار مساء يوم السبت بغرق المدينة بعد تحول فرزة عدن - زنجبار، والشارع الرئيسي، وسوق القات ، وكذلك الجهة الشرقية لسوق الاسماك الى بحيرات راكدة اعاقت حركة السير لدى الاهالي.
ويخشى المواطنون انتشار البعوض والحشرات التي تعد المياه الراكدة بؤر لها مما ينذر بكارثة بيئية تهدد حياتهم في ظل تفشي الاوبئه والحميات وفيروس كورونا المستجد.
وناشد الاهالي مدير عام المديرية سالم عكف و مدير عام المؤسسة المحلية للمياة والصرف الصحي المهندس صالح البلعيدي بتصريف مياه الامطار من المدينة بعد ان تحولت الى برك لسوء التخطيط في تنفيذ مشروع رصف وسفلته شوارع المدينة التي اظهرت عشوائية العمل وعدم ادراج منافذ لتصريف المياه .
الجدير بالذكر ان مياة الامطار كشفت هشاشه وعشوائية تنفيذ المشاريع التي تم تنفيذها موخراً والتي حولت المدينة الى بحيرات في ظل عدم وجود التخطيط والدراسة في عمل قنوات تصريف المياة، رغم التنوية بذلك لكن الجهة المنفذة للمشروع لم تعير ذلك اي اهتمام .

Citizens fear the spread of mosquitoes and insects whose stagnant waters are hotbeds, foreshadowing an environmental catastrophe that threatens their lives in light of the spread of epidemics, fevers and the new Corona virus.
The people appealed to the director general of the directorate, Salem Akef, and the director general of the local water and wastewater establishment, Engineer Saleh Al-Balaidi, to drain the rain water from the city after it turned into pools for poor planning in implementing a paving project and its asphalted streets of the city, which showed the randomness of work and not include outlets for drainage.
It is worth noting that the rain water revealed fragility and random implementation of the projects that were recently implemented and that turned the city into lakes in the absence of planning and study in the work of water drainage channels, despite the intention to do so, but the executing party of the project did not pay any attention to this.
