The family of Intisar Al Hammadi called on the Bar Association to take the necessary measures to stop lawyer Khaled Al Kamal from continuing to impersonate her lawyer despite his arrest, which was documented in an official record and in a well known session. She pointed out that their daughter, Intisar, appointed another lawyer from the beginning of the case before the court, and he is the lawyer who submitted the defenses and is under appeal for the initial ruling and will work with the rest of the lawyers in the appeal stage.
The Al Hammadi family affirmed that it retains its legal right for all the damages inflicted on it and its daughter due to Khaled Al Kamal actions and statements.
Al Hammadi and her colleague were arrested from the Shamlan neighborhood, west of the capital, in February last month, while her disappearance in the prisons of the Houthi authorities turned into a widespread public opinion issue, amid human rights calls for her release.
Al Hammadi was born in 2001 to a Yemeni father and an Ethiopian mother, and worked in the promotion of Yemeni fashion, as well as her distinguished artistic roles in the series Sad Al Gharib and Ghorbat Al Ban during Ramadan before last.
