A landmine left by the Houthi militia exploded seriously wounding a child in the Khokha district south of Hodeidah.
And local sources reported that the 8 year old child (Sadiq Thabet Akimi) was wounded by the explosion of a mine left over from what was planted by the Houthi militia east of Qataba.
According to the sources the child was exposed to a mine explosion while he was passing on a motorcycle on a side road towards a farm. He was transferred to the field hospital in Al Khokha to receive the necessary first aid.
Medical sources in the field hospital stated that the child was seriously injured and his health condition requires his transfer to the Doctors Without Borders hospital for treatment.
This comes two days after 17 civilians most of them women and children were injured when a landmine left behind by the Houthis exploded east of Qatabah area who were on board a Hilux vehicle on their way back from a wedding party in Tuhayta
